Healing Cape Herbs for Winter Wellbeing – Sunday, 19 May
Where: HAPPY SPACE, 83 Kloof Nek Road, Gardens, Cape Town
When: Sunday, 19 May – 9am-1pm
Ideally winter is an important time to rest, restore and build our immune system. Yet in reality, busy lives and coming into contact with coughs, colds and flu can threaten our wellbeing. Join Kora, Craig, Gaynor, Cara & Jimmy to learn simple and effective ways to keep you and your family healthy during the winter months with the support of our Cape herbs. The workshop covers the creating of the most useful remedies for coughs, colds, sore throats, mild fevers and flu. We also look at cultivating, harvesting, storing, blending and preparing Cape herbal remedies. Create and take home a throat gargle and cough syrup, loads of good ideas, two organically-grown Cape herbs for your indigenous garden, and a manual with the basic theory, remedy recipes and herb profiles for reference.
Cost includes materials, remedies, learning materials, tea and coffee, and vegan snacks for the breaks.
Facilitated by a Cape bush doctor, phytotherapy practitioner, medical doctor, psychologist & veterinarian.
