Healing Cape Herbs for Winter Wellbeing – Sunday, 26 May
Where: HAPPY SPACE, 83 Kloof Nek Road, Gardens, Cape Town
When: Sunday, 26 May – 9am-1pm
Winter is a time to rest, restore, and build our immune system. However, our busy lives and near constant contact with coughs, colds and flu can challenge our wellbeing. Join Kora, Craig, Gaynor, Cara & Jimmy to learn simple, effective and fun ways to create with our Cape herbs to keep you and your family happy and healthy this winter.
This workshop covers the cultivation, creation and application of the most useful Cape herbal remedies for coughs, colds, sore throats, mild fevers and flu. Create and take home a throat gargle, cough syrup, loads of good ideas for chest-rubs, steam baths, nasal rinses, two organically-grown Cape herbs for your indigenous garden, and a manual with the basic theory, remedy recipes, and herb profiles for reference.
Facilitated by a Cape bush doctor, phytotherapy practitioner, medical doctor, psychologist and veterinarian.
A fun and practical morning for you, your family and your pets. Cost includes materials, remedies, two plants, learning materials, tea and coffee, and vegan snacks for the breaks.
